The technology has also been used outside France, in Belgium, Burundi, Cameroon, Canada, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Japan, Luxembourg, Nigeria, Qatar, Senegal, Switzerland, and Thailand... for a variety of different – and sometimes surprising – applications! Burundi DAY 22 NIGHT The international airport and the city of Bujumbura are connected by the RN5, a road with little or no lighting and a median strip separating the two lanes. The many motorcyclists using this road tended not to see the median strip, causing frequent accidents. Road lighting and luminescent arrows were added to make it easier for vehicles to identify the crossing areas. This has significantly reduced the number of accidents on this busy road.
